Dear Mrciful, the ocean of kindness! Let the pact you have set for removing the misfortunes of this world, be effective to spring the inner bliss of the worldly creatures. Please get all of them together, who, among the creatures in this world and the inhabitants of the after-world, shoulder the weight of your auspicious deeds, be in the lap of your resources of the peace. And, bestow the specific scriptural prescript that lead all of the measures by only your holy name and guide the minds to stay away from any other measures. Dear Lord! You are the non-dual, both cause and consequence in One – let us realize especially this truth. Without knowing you, unification with you is well-nigh impossible. Dear Merciful! May your will come true, you are the laudable. Dear Merciful! May your will come true, you are the laudable.
Om Shanti! Om Shanti! Om Shanti!
- Moharaj Anandyaswami
The main venue of the Anadya Ashram is the Bilbatola (under the wood-apple tree). It is the place socked with Monomohan’s pain and deliberation. This is the place under the wood-apple tree that formulated the personality of the poet Monomohan. Uttering the verse of virtue “Guru Kolpotoru Mule – O lord, at the root of your blessed tree”, the poet set his seat there for his worthy meditation to devote himself at the sacred feet the omnipotent creator Doyamoya.
Monomohan in his childhood was bestowed with the bliss of Anandya Moharaja, the messenger of the Universal Religion. Anandya Moharaja’s blessing was like a touchstone for Monomohan to reform his life into a golden catalyst. Monomohan reached Sorail at Kalikuccha in 1896 to be a follower of Guru Anandyaswami. Monomohan had to stay in contact with guru for 39 days in three phases of 17 days, 17 days and 5 days. Anandyaswami told Monomohan:
- 1. You will not achieve material gain.
- 2. You will achieve self-realization after two years.
- 3. You will suffer from family resource constraint for six years.
- 4. After six years will have to wander like an insane.
- 5. After this period of eight years you will face several ups and downs in course of your life for more six years.
- 6. After eleven years, you will find the sign of your purity.
- 7. After fourteen years, pure knowledge of Brahma will bestow upon you.
Monomohan wrote, “I feel that I am not the one what I had been. The Monomohan, who went to Kalikuccha one month ago, is not the same today, is a completely new different person. As if I had a rebirth.”
Monomohan achieved the knowledge of Brahma in 1896. He said, “One day I was in deep meditation. Suddenly, I felt a sound originated from my navel and it transformed into an electrified particle and as if had flamed. My heart filled with an incomparable delight and dare.”
Every year, thousand of devotee gather at Anandya Ashram on 10th of the Bangla month Magh to observe the birth anniversary of Monomohan and all of them feel a deep fascination for the spot under the wood-apple tree. To hail the memory of the great Guru Anandyaswami, his son Sri Sri Mahendra Nandi named this ashram as Anandya Ashram.
